#80, 81 God Is the Best

God is so good. The Lord is in the vineyard. Miracles happen. These past couple weeks have been so crazy. They were so hard, so joyful, and so miracle filled.  Kristen was baptized!!! The service was so good! She bore her testimony and her parents (non members) started crying. The spirit was palpable. I got to play the piano which was so much fun. After the baptism we went to BJs with her family and the Leavitts. I got jambalaya for the first time. Shoutout Elder Amos and his talk "Good News Receipe." We then had stake conference with Elder Bunker and that was pretty awesome. He talked about how we are literal children of God who wants us to experience joy and how we were exceedingly faithful in the pre-mortal life. We chosen Him before, we just need to choose Him again.  For absolutely no reason this week, Vegas decided to get stupid cold. On Thursday it was fridgid with wind and nasty rain. We were out biking all day, and it was one of the funnest days of my mission. W...

#79 Birthday Twin

What a crazy week it was in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission!!! We had Zone conference on Wednesday and Thursday and they were so good! President and Sister Coleman talked about what true love really looks like. They focused on charity (the pure love of Jesus Christ) and repentance. We had some other great trainings on working with members and teaching for conversion. We also got CTR rings   I haven't had one of those in so long. President's final training was on inteGRITy. If we want to be successful in life, we must have integrity and grit. Super good stuff. On Saturday I went on an exchange with my birthday twin Elder Tuala (shoutout August 22nd). We were in his spanish area and we saw many miracles! We had a lesson with their friend Rosa who said she knows her next step is baptism, but her husband doesn't want her to be baptized. So pray for her! We had other amazing lessons that day and I was even able to share my simple testimony in Spanish. Sé que el libro de mo...

Hi everyone!! This was another pretty solid week. There wasn't a ton of extraordinary things but it was still really good. I went on an exchange with Elder Barranca. It was a pretty good time. We talked with this guy named Wenkang for about 30 seconds and he said we could have a lesson at the church on Saturday. And then he actually showed up! And he's super interested! He's going to be at church this Sunday! Pray for him    We had more phenomenal lessons with Kristen and Tetiana. They're so amazing. We actually got to meet Tetiana in person and it was so cool. She's taller than me which is insane. We started teaching about the spirit world and she was like "that's talked about in 2 Nephi 9 right?"   Her knowledge and understanding is so amazing.  Sorry to all those who have been covered in snow these past couple weeks. I've been biking around in a short sleeved shirt. It's been like constantly 70 degrees. Perfect weather    This past weeke...

#76/77 Back to Spanish Hills!!

Andrew Jensen 6:36 PM (2 hours ago) to  Andrew , bcc:  me What's up everyone??!! It's been a pretty good past couple of weeks. We had transfer planning a couple weeks back and it was super good and super inspired as always. Our area got changed from Pueblo to Spanish Hills! So I'm back in the area I served in from April to July. It was so good to see all the members and new members that I knew from that time. Julie (who was baptized back in September) spoke in church. It was so cool seeing someone who I helped teach now teaching me   It's been amazing to see the change that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought in her life    Also this transfer I'm not going to be traveling around at all. I'm going to miss traveling around the mission, but after doing it for basically 6 months straight, just working in an area is pretty refreshing. We still have quite a few meetings, but for the most part I'll just be in an area!! I'm also still companions...

Another week in the Lord's vineyard!! I was on exchanges all this week and it's was a pretty good time. I was with Elder Gates and Elder Larsen for the first 3 days. I was companions with Elder Gates earlier in my mission and Wednesday marked one year since we became comps and I was with him that day which was kinda cool. They're teaching so many amazing people. Their friends Andrew and Robyn were just baptized last night after meeting with the missionaries since April. They knew it was true like 2 weeks in but they just needed to get married which they finally did!! Even though I've only had one lesson with him, Andrew is like my favorite person in the world. He chose the opening hymn of the baptism and he chose the Star Spangled Banner   God bless the U.S.A.  I then went with Elder Goode and Elder Scott in the Flamingo Spanish ward. I had no clue what was going on the whole time. I did get to anoint someone in spanish which was pretty cool. And then they asked me...
