#51 我们是耶稣基督的代表

你好吗!!  How's everyone doing?! I got to go on another exchange in the Mandarin branch with Elder Nessen on Friday. Elder Nessen was just reassigned Mandarin a couple months ago so he doesn't know too much Mandarin and obviously I don't really know any, but it was still so much fun. We taught english classes, and the Lord BLESSED us with the gift of tongues   I learned how to say "we are representatives of Jesus Christ" (that's the title). I also learned how to say thanks, I love you, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I love the Chinese people so much! They are so amazing and so kind. It's always so spiritual to be in the Mandarin branch. Our friend Danele, who has been taught for the longest time, decided that she's ready to be taught again. She accepted a baptismal date for August 9th and this time it's actually going to happen because she's been praying for the strength to be baptized on that day. So pray for Danele!  Yesterday was a pretty...

How's it going everyone?! I hope y'all have had a great week. This week was pretty fantastic. We saw a lot of Miracles and it was really fun. On Saturday we got to go on an exchange with the APs. I was with Elder Taumoepeau and it was so fun! We found a lot of new people and I learned so much from him. We talked to a professional 3v3 basketball player and he's interested in learning more which is awesome!  Our friend Julie accepted a baptismal date this week!!   She has always know that she wanted to be baptized but she felt like she needed to know more (but she definitely knows enough). While planning for a lesson with her, me and Elder Rogers prayed about what date she would be ready and we both had the same exact date come to mind. During the lesson we told her our thoughts and then we invited her to pray right then and there to ask God if that was the date she should be baptized. She started praying and then was overcome with the Spirit. After the prayer there ...

Happy Birthday to the land of the free and the home of the brave!  This week definitely was a week! A lot of it was really good! But there were also some discouraging days. But we keep moving forward  The 4th of July was one of the funnest days of my whole mission. We had to wake up at 4:25AM to help out at the Summerlin Patriot parade. More than half the mission was there an it was a ton of fun. We had these super cool red, white, and blue aprons. My group got the best balloon. We had an enormous bald eagle balloon   It was like 45 feet long and toon 12 elders to hold it down. We named him Edward the Eagle. Right as the parade started the wind started picking up. Edward was flying all over the place. He tried to attack people a couple times and even tried to do a front flip. Everyone in the parade loved Edward so much. It was honestly stressful trying to keep Edward from flying into trees, light poles, stop lights, and people. We all got some rope burns, but i...

What a week it was in the beautiful city of Las Vegas! Our new mission leaders came in on Wednesday! I already love them so much! We got to go out teaching with President Coleman on Wednesday night. It was so good! We had two really good lessons that night. We learned a lot from him and we also got to teach him a lot about this mission. It turns out that his brother is the mission president of the New York Syracuse mission (shoutout Elder Forsberg  ).  We got to go on a couple exchanges this past week. I got to go with Elder Petersen on Thursday. It was so much fun! He's a fantastic missionary. We saw so many miracles that day. But here's the biggest miracle: Some members signed up to feed us, but they couldn't actually have us over so they gave us two $25 Panda Express gift cards. So we went to panda and while we were in line this member came up to us and gave us a $40 panda gift cars and said dinner was on him. We then got up to the register with a bowl, plate, and tw...
