Elder Andrew Jensen

  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!   It was another great week in Las Vegas!! It was full of exchanges and a whole lot of miracles. My first exchange this week was back in Spanish Hills!!! I love that area so much. I was with Elder Christensen and it was one of the most spiritual exchanges of my life. Elder Christensen is so amazing. We had so many amazing conversations about grace, consecration, and diligence. I also got to see my two favorite people in the whole world, Cheri and Julie. It was so cool to see them a couple months later and to see how much the gospel of Jesus Christ has changed their lives. Cheri is so close to being baptized so keep her in your prayers.  I also got to go on an exchange in the Portuguese branch   with Elder Eslava. And I realized that unlike spanish and mandarin, I know zero Portuguese. But that ended up being alright because we only talked to on Brazilian the whole day.   It was another super good week! We got to go to 2 zone conferences and we got to go on 2 exchanges. Zone conference was amazing! It was one of the most spiritual and uplifting conferences of my mission. We talked about gifts, consecration, unity, and choice. I felt so motivated afterwards to do whatever it takes to give my all to the Lord. I especially loved the training on choice. We get to choose whether or not we feel joy. No one else can make that choice for you. Choose now to feel joy! And since we know Jesus Christ is joy, choose now to follow Christ!!  Saturday was a pretty fun day. It was raining the whole day   but I didn't get to bike in it   I was on an exchange in the Spanish Trail YSA so we were driving all day. We had some amazing lessons. We taught this one guy named Carson. It was one of the most joyful and uplifting lessons I've had in a while. His heart was so open to the gospel.  I love being a missionary!! These past couple weeks were amazing! Last week I was in area (almost) all week. We actually had a lot of time to go out finding. I got to go on an exchange with my step-dad Elder Hansen   We have both grown so much since we were companions over a year ago (there's no shot it's been that long). We experienced so much rejection that day, but it was still so joyful! Nothing can steal your joy away when you're in the service of God! We even were flirted with by two 50 year old men which was super funny   It was a super amazing exchange Halloween was pretty solid. We helped at a Trunk or Treat that our mission put on. The Mandarin Elders were the life of the party. They brought their Chinese dragon   costume and everyone loved them.
