#42 Memorial Day

Image
Happy Memorial Day!   What a great day to be in this beautiful country!!!!! I got to go on two exchanges this week which was so fun! I was with Elder Smith who has been a missionary for like a week. I also got to go on another exchange with Elder Savage. Yesterday we had MLC and it was Sister Nielsen's (our mission president's wife) birthday       So we had a birthday party for her. We went around each saying one thing we love about her. It was super sweet. There were tears in everyone's eyes. I'm going to miss her so much   Basically at MLC, President told us that next transfer it's basically going to be all on the missionaries because President and Sister Coleman won't really know what they're doing. So that's going to be pretty fun   I know the Coleman's will do a great job We went to a fireside on Sunday and it was back in my old stake so I got to see so many of my favorite people of all time from the Coronado ward. Shoutout J...

How's it going everyone! Another week in the books!  My new companion Elder Rogers is a legend. He's legally blind, but is one of the best missionaries I've ever met. We've had a lot of fun this first week of the transfer. He's also one of the hardest workers I've ever met.  The highlight of the week was my exchange with my mission dad Elder Judd. It brought my back to September except this time I at least kinda knew what I was doing. I can't believe he goes home in 2 months  I also got to go on another exchange with Elder Windous. His area is right next to the strip. It's funny that Vegas is most famous for the strip, but everyone in Vegas can't stand it. Most people here never go there because it's literally just the great and spacious building.  The past week we've been teaching the wife of one of the members of our ward. She's been going to church with him for almost 25 years now, and she finally decided that she wants to be baptize...

#40 Baptism and Transfers!!!!

Image
How's it going y'all?! I hope you've been loving life! The biggest and best thing that happened this week was that our friend Kamane was baptized!   It's been so amazing to see the joy that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought her. After she came up from the water, she was giggling so much! It's just so amazing.  The second biggest thing that happened is that we had transfers. And sadly, the legendary trio of Elder Jensen, Vela, and Jensen has come to an end   (we knew that it would). In the words of Elder Ashby this transfer was definitely a hoot and a holler. That also means we no longer cover 3 wards. I kept Spanish Hills and my new companion is Elder Rogers. I'm super excited for this transfer!  On Saturday before the baptism, we had a super cool miracle. We saw this guy and started talking to him but he said that it was too hot for a message   So we on to the door we were going to knock, but then we realized we had recently knocked i...

#39 Even More Biking in the Rain

Image
This one will probably be a little short, but here we go! We didn't have a lot of time out working this week because we had a lot of meetings. But we still saw so many miracles! We were late to a lesson, but then I saw a person. My comp said we didn't have time to talk to them. But I felt like we needed too. So we started talking to him but he only spoke Spanish. So we started getting his number to send to the Spanish missionaries. Then someone came up to us and asked if he could also give us his number. And then we set up a lesson for tomorrow. So that's cool! We had an exchange with the APs on Saturday. I was with Elder Mills and Elder Jensen. It was super fun and I learned quite a bit.  I had my second to last interview with President Nielson   I'm excited for the Colemans to get here, but I'll definitely miss the Nielsons.  We also got to bike in the rain yesterday  I'm super excited for this upcoming week! It should be super awesome and I know we'll ...
