#94 My Big Family

Image
This one will be short because today is transfer day. We got our news on Sunday night and Elder Proctor and I are staying together and getting a new son (trainee). Elder Petersen is leaving to be with Elders Gibby and Napoleon in the Pioneer ward. He's growing up so fast  My mission family is getting so big. I now have 3 sons, 2 grandsons, and 1 great grandson. I'm so proud of my family  This past week we found more new people to teach than ever before in this area, but no one came to church   But I still love being able to go to church and feel the spirit as I focus on Christ. We had an amazing lesson on the restoration yesterday with a part member family. At first the dad seemed standoffish and it seemed like he wanted us to leave. But the more we were talking the more we realized that he has just had so many questions in his life about God and faith that no one has been able to answer and that has made him cynical towards religion and God. But the restored ...

What's up everyone! I hope you are doing well. This week was really good.  We went on a couple exchanges a couple weeks back. On one of them we talked with this awesome lady named Charletha. She seemed really interested, but didn't want to give us her contact info. So we wrote down the church information not really thinking too much of it. But then she actually came!!! And she loved it so much. She also came to a mission music devotional and she told us last week that she wants to be baptized!! God is good!  On the other exchange we went on a split with a youth named Noah. What's super cool about Noah is that a year and a half ago, he was the very first person I ever invited to be baptized on my mission. It's so cool that a year and a half ago I was teaching him the gospel and now he's teaching it side by side with me. The spirit was so strong and it shows how much Jesus Christ can change people.  Yesterday was Elder Petersen's birthday and it was so good! The...

These past couple weeks were pretty great! We had a lot of meetings but we were also able to just get out and get some work done!! The secret (not really that much of a secret) to finding joy is to choose Jesus Christ and then get out and work as hard as possible. Last week we had an exchange with the scary APs   Just kidding Elder Pulsipher is the least scary person ever. It was great to be back in Spanish Hills for the day. We helped this family move out and they had this 500-700lb safe and they were up on the third floor of an apartment complex without elevators. We talked about it for about 30 minutes to see if we wanted to attempt to take it down the stairs. We ended up deciding not to because it would either break the stairs or break one of us.  We had interviews with President and Sister Coleman on Saturday. They are my favorite people in the world. The only sad part about this new area is that I don't get to spend as much time with them  We've been tea...
