#92, 93 America 250

 What's up everyone! I hope you are doing well. This week was really good. 


We went on a couple exchanges a couple weeks back. On one of them we talked with this awesome lady named Charletha. She seemed really interested, but didn't want to give us her contact info. So we wrote down the church information not really thinking too much of it. But then she actually came!!! And she loved it so much. She also came to a mission music devotional and she told us last week that she wants to be baptized!! God is good! 

On the other exchange we went on a split with a youth named Noah. What's super cool about Noah is that a year and a half ago, he was the very first person I ever invited to be baptized on my mission. It's so cool that a year and a half ago I was teaching him the gospel and now he's teaching it side by side with me. The spirit was so strong and it shows how much Jesus Christ can change people. 

Yesterday was Elder Petersen's birthday and it was so good! The members showed out and made it probably his best birthday ever. We got 2 cakes, a thing of brownies, Canes, Makai's (Hawaiian food), and some money for chick fil a. The members in these wards are awesome. 

Today is the last pday of the transfer so we through a Zone BBQ. Obviously it was American themed 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅 Everything that we bought had to have red, white, and blue on it. We also bought great value mustard because we didn't want to buy French's mustard. I also bought a new bald eagle shirt. I love American so much. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 American 250!!!!

I was reading Romans 8 this morning and I loved verse 18

"18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." 

Everything we go through in life has a purpose. The challenges we go though help us to become the people Christ knows we can become. God has so much in store for us and the hardships we go through are nothing compared to the reward He has for us. Just keep pushing

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #20 Getting Sandy in Sandy Valley

  Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your Christmas season has been amazing! On Wednesday we had our mission Christmas party. It was so fun! We were listening to normal Christmas music which was a little weird, and then we watched Home Alone 2 which felt very weird. But it was also pretty cool. Sister Nielson made some really funny comments anytime a character did anything "inappropriate" like swearing or smoking. We then sang Christmas carols which was also really fun.  That night I went on exchanges with my district leader in Sandy Valley. Sandy Valley is about an hour drive from Vegas and I got to drive all the way there   It was also my first time leaving the Las Vegas valley. It was weird not being able to see the strip that night and also being able to see the stars. It felt like I was in a completely different mission. It was pretty cool. #7-Viviann's Baptism!!

  How's it going everyone? I hope you all had a great week and have been enjoying some nicer weather. I think I might have said this last week, but I honestly believe the weather in heaven is the weather on a late September evening in Las Vegas. It has been soooo nice outside and has made biking pretty fun. So the best part of my week was on Saturday and Sunday when our friend Viviann was baptized and confirmed. It was a pretty small baptism, but there was such a sweet and sincere spirit there. After she was baptized she bore her testimony and it was really powerful. You could tell that even though she is still pretty new to the Gospel, she knows that it is true. I also felt the Spirit on Sunday when she was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was such a sweet experience and I know I will remember it for a while.
