Elder Andrew Jensen

  ¡Hola!  On Wednesday I went on an exchange with Elder Savage. He's from Pocatello Idaho   I got to have to phone that day. It was fun not having to drive because Vegas drivers are crazy   I have seen the most insane moves over the past couple weeks. I've only almost gotten in a couple of accidents (most of them were not my fault). Some guy started merging into me on the freeway so I had to get out of the way very quickly. That traffic cone stood no chance  Our friend Kamane is preparing for baptism on May 10th!!   She is so amazing! It seems like she's basically teaching us the lessons. We were talking about Joseph Smith and she told us that she had done her own research on him which got us a little nervous. But then she went on to testify how he was a prophet of God and the reason people have misconceptions on him is because they just don't read   She is so ready and it's so exciting to see the Lord working in her!   How's it going everyone? I hope you had a great week! Mine was pretty crazy. On Wednesday we had zone conference which was amazing as always!! Me and Elder Vela got to give a training on seeking and relying on the Spirit and it went pretty well! Thursday was maybe the most insane day of my mission. We did an emergency blitz with some of the elders in the zone so we were out of our area for most of the day. Then on our way home, we got a text from President Nielson who said that an elder in our zone was going home the next day so his companion (Elder Jensen) would be joining our companionship. So now I'm in a trio with two Elder Jensens. We cover three wards, one of which is a YSA. So yeah, life is pretty crazy right now, but it's all good because the Lord is in the vineyard! I also got to go on a Mandarin exchange on Saturday. I felt useless most of the time, bit I did learn my name in Mandarin. Zhan Sen 詹森. So I'm basically a Mandarin elder now.   Sorry I didn't send out an email last week. I wrote one out but just never sent it. So here's a quick rundown - I went on an exchange with my favorite Canadian AP Elder Sturko  - My new ward loves missionaries  - General Conference was awesome! Listen to it if you haven't already This week I got to go on a couple more exchanges which were really fun! Elder Decker has only been out for 2 weeks, but he's already doing amazing. And the exchange with Elder Rogers was awesome too!  I got to do a baptismal interview yesterday which was really great! She was so prepared and so ready to make her first covenant with God!  This week I've been focusing a lot of really remembering My Savior Jesus Christ. One talk I really loved from conference was Elder Stevenson talk about how we can focus more on Christ. I love that we get to focus completely on him this week and everything that he has done for us.   How's it going everyone?! We had transfer calls this week! But I'll get to that in a second. We had another good week in Pahrump! We were able to meet quite a few new people who are interested in learning more. We've always been praying that we will find the people who are ready, but recently we've also been praying that the people that are searching will be able to find us, and it's been amazing to see the miracles that have come from that   We found this super awesome new friend who's been wanting to find a new church for his family. But he wants one that actually cares about him and doesn't just care about his money. We talked to him for a bit and he said he'd like to check out our church!!  ️ A lot of our friends said they'd come to church, but then one by one basically all of them texted us Sunday morning telling us they couldn't make it   But I know we gave it all we could and that the success is left in the Lord's hands.
