#34 The Lord Knows Better 😇

 How's it going everyone?!


We had transfer calls this week! But I'll get to that in a second.

We had another good week in Pahrump! We were able to meet quite a few new people who are interested in learning more. We've always been praying that we will find the people who are ready, but recently we've also been praying that the people that are searching will be able to find us, and it's been amazing to see the miracles that have come from that ðŸ˜† We found this super awesome new friend who's been wanting to find a new church for his family. But he wants one that actually cares about him and doesn't just care about his money. We talked to him for a bit and he said he'd like to check out our church!! ⛪️

A lot of our friends said they'd come to church, but then one by one basically all of them texted us Sunday morning telling us they couldn't make it ðŸ˜¢ But I know we gave it all we could and that the success is left in the Lord's hands. And the friends still all have the desire to improve, so I know the Lord will be able to work many miracles in their lives!

OK now for transfer news. We got the call from the zone leaders and they asked us our predictions. I said I thought we'd both stay because we just doubled transferred Pahrump and I still hadn't kept a companion. So I thought it was about time. But then I added at the end that maybe the Lord knows better. My zone leader just replied, "the Lord knows better." So yeah, I'm back in Las Vegas. I only got to spend 1 transfer in the Pahromised land ðŸ˜“ My new companion is Elder Vela Garcia and my new ward is the Spanish Hills ward (and even though it's called Spanish Hills and my companion is a Spanish missionary it's still an English area). And then I'm also a zone leader this transfer which is both exciting and very scary. I don't really feel like I know enough, but I know the Lord qualifies whom He calls ðŸ˜Š

This week I studied Jacob 5 which is one of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon. My favorite verse is verse 72.
"72 And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things."
It is so comforting to know that the Lord is laboring in the field with us. We are never alone. He is always right there beside us. When we go out and labor with all our might, and are obedient to the Lord's commandments in all things, He can work many mighty miracles through is. This is true for missionaries, and all people who are children of God. So that's all of us! The Lord is right beside you!!

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #5-Viva Las Vegas

 What's up everyone!? This past week has definitely been crazy! There's been a lot that was good and a lot that was hard, but I guess that's missionary work for you. If you didn't hear last week, my first companion is Elder Judd who I went to high school with. It's been really fun to talk about home with him. He thinks it's really crazy that when he tells his stories I actually know who he's talking about   My first area is in the Meadows stake which is northwest Las Vegas. We cover two wards in that stake. If you guys have never been to Las Vegas and you want to know what it's like, just imagine Idaho, but like 10-15 degrees hotter and where you see grass, instead picture rocks and dirt. Other than that it's not too different from what I know. But the drivers are a lot crazier which has made for some fun car rides. But I guess I have seen a bit of grass because one area is a little more wealthy so they can afford to care for grass. Also most of the ...
