Elder Andrew Jensen

How's it going everyone? It was another great week in the wild wild west side of Las Vegas. My first exchange was with Elder Smith and Elders Burns in Rancho. Now my trainer Elder Hansen told me so much about how awesome Rancho is, and I'll tell you, it did not disappoint. We went out biking all day long talking to everyone and teaching so many people. It was probably the hottest couple of days so far so I was dying of thirst, but it was a ton of fun. The one thing that was not fun was that I woke up the first night and the air mattress was flat   So the next night I used a blanket as a pad because sleeping on the floor is more comfortable than sleeping on a half filled up air mattress.  On Friday the APs made me stay with them because apparently it was my birthday and they wanted me to spend the day with them.   What a week it was!  It started off with and exchange with Elder Hiett and Elder Lafaele. Elder Hiett came out with me so it was fun to talk with him on our 1 year birthday.  This exchange was pretty crazy. Elder Lafaele is from Samoa and he's pretty crazy so it was a lot of fun   He's also huge   We did multiple moves and when we couldn't lift the boxes we just asked Elder Lafaele to take care of it and he got it done with ease.  On Saturday we had a special MLC where Elder Schmitt from the seventy came. It was so cool to receive guidence from a general authority. The question he asked us was "how can people gain access to the full power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ?" He then went on to say that living the Gospel of Jesus Christ (faith in Him, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end) is what helps us feel the complete power of Christ. Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone's having a great week!  This week was definitely unlike any I've had yet in my mission. I was bouncing all over the place and just having a great time  From Tuesday night to Thursday night I was with Elder Christensen and Elder Carrasco in the Laurelwood ward. It was a party   Elder Carrasco is from Chile and is a professional biker. We saw quite a few miracles those couple days. We were praying for those who were prepared for the gospel to reach out to us and we got many media referrals. We started teaching a couple of them which was so cool. From Friday-Saturday I was basically as far down south as you can possibly go in my mission with Elder Blackmore and Elder Proctor. They are two of the funniest people I've ever met. And for the most part, it wasn't too distracting from the work. Sometimes we had to reel it back in, but overall it was a really good time.   Happy August everyone!! I cannot believe that July is already done! It still hasn't been insanely hot like I thought it would be. But now as soon as I say that I know it's going to be crazy hot the next couple months  This week was pretty great! We saw so many miracles and found many new people! It was really awesome. The Lord was definitely working with us. But then none of them came to church   But there's always next week!!!  We got transfer news and I'll be honest it definitely wasn't what I expecting. They gave out transfer news late on Sunday so instead of the APs giving us our transfer news, they just sent out a document with all the details on it. And here's my details  So basically my companions are the APs but I only spend P-days with them. The rest of the time I'll be on 2-3 day exchanges with missionaries all over the mission.
