#67 Double Zone Conferences

 It was another super good week! We got to go to 2 zone conferences and we got to go on 2 exchanges.


Zone conference was amazing! It was one of the most spiritual and uplifting conferences of my mission. We talked about gifts, consecration, unity, and choice. I felt so motivated afterwards to do whatever it takes to give my all to the Lord. I especially loved the training on choice. We get to choose whether or not we feel joy. No one else can make that choice for you. Choose now to feel joy! And since we know Jesus Christ is joy, choose now to follow Christ!! 

Saturday was a pretty fun day. It was raining the whole day 🌧 but I didn't get to bike in it 😢 I was on an exchange in the Spanish Trail YSA so we were driving all day. We had some amazing lessons. We taught this one guy named Carson. It was one of the most joyful and uplifting lessons I've had in a while. His heart was so open to the gospel. And he went to church the next day. 

Our friend Ricky finally came to church!! He's promised that he'll come to church so many times but would always call us an hour before church and tell us that he had something come up. But we still had so much hope for him. This Sunday we got a call from him 10 minutes before church and he said something came up, but he still wanted to come!! He walked in 30 minutes but still felt the Spirit so strong! He said it felt like home 😇 He was only planning on staying for half of 2nd hour, but he said the lesson resonated with him so much that he just had to stay. He's the best and I'm so glad God led us to him 🙏 

I got to go on another exchange with Elder Hunter yesterday. It was a blast and we got out and worked our tails off. He also made us pancakes, bacon, and eggs for dinner. Who needs Denny's (shoutout Elder Gurr) 🍳🥞🥓

Also I'm officially adjusted to Las Vegas weather. It was like 60 degrees this week and I had to pull out my coat 😅😅 I'm going to die when I get back to Idaho

During Zone conference I felt prompted to start a new read through of the Book of Mormon. I am writing at the bottom of each page what I learned about Jesus on that page. It has been so good! It has helped me realize how much the Book of Mormon really does testify of Christ. In 1 Nephi chapters 3 and 4 it says so many times that the Lord will deliver those who follow Him. I love that Jesus Christ is our deliverer! He wants to deliver us out of our trials because He knows exactly what we are going through and He's already overcome it. So let Him show you how to overcome! Let Him in!!

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #5-Viva Las Vegas

 What's up everyone!? This past week has definitely been crazy! There's been a lot that was good and a lot that was hard, but I guess that's missionary work for you. If you didn't hear last week, my first companion is Elder Judd who I went to high school with. It's been really fun to talk about home with him. He thinks it's really crazy that when he tells his stories I actually know who he's talking about   My first area is in the Meadows stake which is northwest Las Vegas. We cover two wards in that stake. If you guys have never been to Las Vegas and you want to know what it's like, just imagine Idaho, but like 10-15 degrees hotter and where you see grass, instead picture rocks and dirt. Other than that it's not too different from what I know. But the drivers are a lot crazier which has made for some fun car rides. But I guess I have seen a bit of grass because one area is a little more wealthy so they can afford to care for grass. Also most of the ...
