#65/66 The Bojangles Gauntlet

 I love being a missionary!! These past couple weeks were amazing!


Last week I was in area (almost) all week. We actually had a lot of time to go out finding. I got to go on an exchange with my step-dad Elder Hansen 😇😇😇 We have both grown so much since we were companions over a year ago (there's no shot it's been that long). We experienced so much rejection that day, but it was still so joyful! Nothing can steal your joy away when you're in the service of God! We even were flirted with by two 50 year old men which was super funny 😂 It was a super amazing exchange

Halloween was pretty solid. We helped at a Trunk or Treat that our mission put on. The Mandarin Elders were the life of the party. They brought their Chinese dragon 🐉 costume and everyone loved them. My favorite part was that I got to spend time wirh the legendary Elder Rogers 😁😁😁 I love him so much and it was so fun to be around him.

This week I was on exchanges all week! The first couple days I was with my mission son and grandson. It's so amazing to see how much Elder Empey has grown since I tried my hardest to train him last year. His trainee, Elder Davis, is so funny. He's also probably the most confident new missionary I've ever met.

The next day I was in the Blanco Vista Spanish Branch. I had no idea what was going on but we did some good work that day.

The next 3 days were a party. I was with Elder Ryan and his trainee Elder Teuscher. Those two are so funny! We also saw so many miracles! We had a mom and her daughter just walk into church 🤯 They loved it so much and want to come back every week! So cool!

A couple transfers ago I went on a 3 day exchanges where we got Bojangles 2 times. Last Saturday we went to Bojangles for lunch and I made the joke that I wanted to have an exchange where we got Bojangles 3 times. But we didn't think it would be possible because the next day was Sunday and we keep the Sabbath day holy here. But I soon learned, that all things are possible, because as we were leaving the restaurant, a worker came up to us and told us someone in the drive thru bought us another meal. So we took it home and had it after church on Sunday. On Monday we completed the Bojangles gauntlet by getting it after district council. Miracles are real! All things are possible when you set your mind to it. But now I would be ok never going to Bojangles again 😂 🍗🍗🍗

This week I reread a talk from conference called "Lovest Thou Me?" It talks about how we all want to feel God's love and the best way to feel His love stronger is to show Him how much we love Him. We are able to show God we love Him by serving His children and by keeping His commandments. If you want to feel God's love stronger I would invite you to think of how you can show Him your love for Him this week!

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #5-Viva Las Vegas

 What's up everyone!? This past week has definitely been crazy! There's been a lot that was good and a lot that was hard, but I guess that's missionary work for you. If you didn't hear last week, my first companion is Elder Judd who I went to high school with. It's been really fun to talk about home with him. He thinks it's really crazy that when he tells his stories I actually know who he's talking about   My first area is in the Meadows stake which is northwest Las Vegas. We cover two wards in that stake. If you guys have never been to Las Vegas and you want to know what it's like, just imagine Idaho, but like 10-15 degrees hotter and where you see grass, instead picture rocks and dirt. Other than that it's not too different from what I know. But the drivers are a lot crazier which has made for some fun car rides. But I guess I have seen a bit of grass because one area is a little more wealthy so they can afford to care for grass. Also most of the ...
