#47 Panda Express

 What a week it was in the beautiful city of Las Vegas!


Our new mission leaders came in on Wednesday! I already love them so much! We got to go out teaching with President Coleman on Wednesday night. It was so good! We had two really good lessons that night. We learned a lot from him and we also got to teach him a lot about this mission. It turns out that his brother is the mission president of the New York Syracuse mission (shoutout Elder Forsberg 😇). 

We got to go on a couple exchanges this past week. I got to go with Elder Petersen on Thursday. It was so much fun! He's a fantastic missionary. We saw so many miracles that day. But here's the biggest miracle: Some members signed up to feed us, but they couldn't actually have us over so they gave us two $25 Panda Express gift cards. So we went to panda and while we were in line this member came up to us and gave us a $40 panda gift cars and said dinner was on him. We then got up to the register with a bowl, plate, and two drink which should be around $20-25, but he told us it was only $9. We were so confused but he told us he was hooking us up. So we still have like $70 of Panda Express 🐼 Apparently God really wants us to eat Panda Express 🤷‍♂️

I also went on an exchange with Elder Jensen and Elder Taylor. It was also a good time. We got Maverik burritos for dinner and they were really good but my stomach wasn't really happy with me.

I've been studying a lot about handing my will completely over to the Lord. In Helaman chapter 10 the Lord is talking to Nephi. He calls Nephi blessed because he wants to do the Lord's will. The Lord then tells Nephi that he needs to go out and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the people so they too can have the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ. Verse 12 talks about Nephi's response

"12 And behold, now it came to pass that when the Lord had spoken these words unto Nephi, he did stop and did not go unto his own house, but did return unto the multitudes who were scattered about upon the face of the land, and began to declare unto them the word of the Lord which had been spoken unto him, concerning their destruction if they did not repent."

When the Lord commanded him to do something, he did it immediately. I love this response. When we receive guidance from the Lord we should act on it right away. I've tried to apply this into my work and give my whole soul to Christ and act on all promptings immediately. I've found that as I have strived to give my soul to Christ, I have been so much happier. 

So give up everything to the Lord and He will bless you with the joy you are searching for!

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #5-Viva Las Vegas

 What's up everyone!? This past week has definitely been crazy! There's been a lot that was good and a lot that was hard, but I guess that's missionary work for you. If you didn't hear last week, my first companion is Elder Judd who I went to high school with. It's been really fun to talk about home with him. He thinks it's really crazy that when he tells his stories I actually know who he's talking about   My first area is in the Meadows stake which is northwest Las Vegas. We cover two wards in that stake. If you guys have never been to Las Vegas and you want to know what it's like, just imagine Idaho, but like 10-15 degrees hotter and where you see grass, instead picture rocks and dirt. Other than that it's not too different from what I know. But the drivers are a lot crazier which has made for some fun car rides. But I guess I have seen a bit of grass because one area is a little more wealthy so they can afford to care for grass. Also most of the ...
