#75 Mi español es muy good

 Another week in the Lord's vineyard!!


I was on exchanges all this week and it's was a pretty good time. I was with Elder Gates and Elder Larsen for the first 3 days. I was companions with Elder Gates earlier in my mission and Wednesday marked one year since we became comps and I was with him that day which was kinda cool. They're teaching so many amazing people. Their friends Andrew and Robyn were just baptized last night after meeting with the missionaries since April. They knew it was true like 2 weeks in but they just needed to get married which they finally did!! Even though I've only had one lesson with him, Andrew is like my favorite person in the world. He chose the opening hymn of the baptism and he chose the Star Spangled Banner 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 God bless the U.S.A. 🦅🦅🦅

I then went with Elder Goode and Elder Scott in the Flamingo Spanish ward. I had no clue what was going on the whole time. I did get to anoint someone in spanish which was pretty cool. And then they asked me to play the piano for sacrament. I was just hoping and praying that I wouldn't start playing at the wrong time because I didn't know when we were singing the hymns.

Also this week was absolutely frigid 🥶 Winter has lasted too long already (it's felt like winter for probably 5 days). It was like 45 and crazy windy. It chilled me to the bones. I never thought that I would miss 115 degrees. I am so grateful I was called to Vegas and not somewhere freezing


We gave a training yesterday on finding people to teach and what we decided to focus on was testifying as much as possible. There have been many times in my mission where I've struggled and doubted a lot, but every time I testify, I feel the Spirit confirming the words I'm saying and it helps me realize I do have a testimony of Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel. I've also found that as I testify more, Heavenly Father always leads us to the people who are prepared for gospel. So I want to invite each of you to find a way to testify of Jesus Christ everyday this upcoming week. I can promise that as you do so, your testimony will grow and you will feel His love even more 😇

#10 Transfers and Dia de la Familia

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #5-Viva Las Vegas

 What's up everyone!? This past week has definitely been crazy! There's been a lot that was good and a lot that was hard, but I guess that's missionary work for you. If you didn't hear last week, my first companion is Elder Judd who I went to high school with. It's been really fun to talk about home with him. He thinks it's really crazy that when he tells his stories I actually know who he's talking about   My first area is in the Meadows stake which is northwest Las Vegas. We cover two wards in that stake. If you guys have never been to Las Vegas and you want to know what it's like, just imagine Idaho, but like 10-15 degrees hotter and where you see grass, instead picture rocks and dirt. Other than that it's not too different from what I know. But the drivers are a lot crazier which has made for some fun car rides. But I guess I have seen a bit of grass because one area is a little more wealthy so they can afford to care for grass. Also most of the ...
