#79 Birthday Twin

 What a crazy week it was in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission!!!


We had Zone conference on Wednesday and Thursday and they were so good! President and Sister Coleman talked about what true love really looks like. They focused on charity (the pure love of Jesus Christ) and repentance. We had some other great trainings on working with members and teaching for conversion. We also got CTR rings 😆 I haven't had one of those in so long. President's final training was on inteGRITy. If we want to be successful in life, we must have integrity and grit. Super good stuff.

On Saturday I went on an exchange with my birthday twin Elder Tuala (shoutout August 22nd). We were in his spanish area and we saw many miracles! We had a lesson with their friend Rosa who said she knows her next step is baptism, but her husband doesn't want her to be baptized. So pray for her! We had other amazing lessons that day and I was even able to share my simple testimony in Spanish. Sé que el libro de mormón es la palabra de Dios 😇

On Sunday we had dinner with the Mandarin Branch President and he fed us a one thousand egg 🥚 It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it was still pretty gross. It looked like death but only tasted like a dirty sock. 

Our friend Kristen is getting baptized on Saturday. She's so amazing! Our friend Tetiana's life is so crazy right now so she's not really able to attend church regularly, but she was able to come this week! When we asked her how she was able to do it, she just said that life was hard so she knew she needed to be at church 😇 We also had a fantastic lessons on the restoration with our new friend Wenkang. He also came to church on Sunday 🙌

Also, all the sisters in the mission got lice this week 🦗 Gross

There was one quote that really struck me at zone conference. "If someone has never heard of Jesus Christ, and the only thing they knew about him was that YOU represented him… What would they know about him?" We have the great opportunity as followers of Jesus Christ to teach people about Him by our actions. If your actions aren't in line with Him, I invite you to change them so others can see the light of Jesus Christ through you

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #5-Viva Las Vegas

 What's up everyone!? This past week has definitely been crazy! There's been a lot that was good and a lot that was hard, but I guess that's missionary work for you. If you didn't hear last week, my first companion is Elder Judd who I went to high school with. It's been really fun to talk about home with him. He thinks it's really crazy that when he tells his stories I actually know who he's talking about   My first area is in the Meadows stake which is northwest Las Vegas. We cover two wards in that stake. If you guys have never been to Las Vegas and you want to know what it's like, just imagine Idaho, but like 10-15 degrees hotter and where you see grass, instead picture rocks and dirt. Other than that it's not too different from what I know. But the drivers are a lot crazier which has made for some fun car rides. But I guess I have seen a bit of grass because one area is a little more wealthy so they can afford to care for grass. Also most of the ...
