#105 2 Years

 Happy Tuesday! 


I hope everyone has been having a great week so far. This past week was awesome! Definitely one of my favorite weeks as a missionary. Also, 2 years ago today I was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! What a past 2 years it has been! I still have over a week left though so I'll still be sending out another email 😇

We had some amazing lessons this week with our progressing friends. Ashton and Annette are doing amazing! They've felt the power of the Book of Mormon and they feel the spirit everytime we come over. And they are both applying for a new job so they won't have to work on Sundays. They said that if they're going to do it, they are going to be all in. And our friend Frank from last week brought his entire family to church. It was so cool 

We got to go out and eat with President and Sister Coleman and Elder Gurr and his comp before Elder Gurr goes home this Friday. It was so much fun. Elder Gurr is literally my brother. I'm so excited to see him again when I get down to Provo. That dinner was by far the fanciest place I've ever been to. I almost felt like I didn't belong.

Today for pday a couple members in our area took us golfing at TPC Summerlin (I know it sounds like I have the most spoiled life but it really was just this week 😅). I've never been golfing before but now I understand why people love it. It was a ton of fun and I even shot a par on hole 17

I had my departing interview with President Coleman on Sunday. I felt so much peace and so much excitement for what's to come. My mission has been amazing!! I've learned so much about my Savior Jesus Christ and have felt the joy of testifying of Him. And what really stood out to me in my interview, is that this isn't meant to be the end. The best is still yet to come as we continue to dedicate our lives to Him. I love what President Nelson said in October 2024. "The best is yet to come, my dear brothers and sisters, because the Savior is coming again!" I'm excited for this next week which I know will be the best week of my mission. And then I am so excited for what God has in store for me for the rest of my life.

#10 Transfers and Dia de la Familia

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #20 Getting Sandy in Sandy Valley

  Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your Christmas season has been amazing! On Wednesday we had our mission Christmas party. It was so fun! We were listening to normal Christmas music which was a little weird, and then we watched Home Alone 2 which felt very weird. But it was also pretty cool. Sister Nielson made some really funny comments anytime a character did anything "inappropriate" like swearing or smoking. We then sang Christmas carols which was also really fun.  That night I went on exchanges with my district leader in Sandy Valley. Sandy Valley is about an hour drive from Vegas and I got to drive all the way there   It was also my first time leaving the Las Vegas valley. It was weird not being able to see the strip that night and also being able to see the stars. It felt like I was in a completely different mission. It was pretty cool. #7-Viviann's Baptism!!

  How's it going everyone? I hope you all had a great week and have been enjoying some nicer weather. I think I might have said this last week, but I honestly believe the weather in heaven is the weather on a late September evening in Las Vegas. It has been soooo nice outside and has made biking pretty fun. So the best part of my week was on Saturday and Sunday when our friend Viviann was baptized and confirmed. It was a pretty small baptism, but there was such a sweet and sincere spirit there. After she was baptized she bore her testimony and it was really powerful. You could tell that even though she is still pretty new to the Gospel, she knows that it is true. I also felt the Spirit on Sunday when she was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was such a sweet experience and I know I will remember it for a while.
