#86 I want to hear them ring again

How's everyone doing? It was another great week in service of my God

We helped two of my favorite people in the whole world move on Wednesday. Cheri and Julie have been such a great example to me and have helped me grow in my testimony of Jesus so much. Their example of sincere repentance was so inspiring. I'll miss them for sure 😪 But they're moving to Nampa, Idaho so it won't be too long before I see them again 😇

We went on a couple exchanges this week. I went with Elder Kisby in Cielo Vista which was super fun. I didn't really understand anything that was said, but it was still super spirit filled. I also went with my son Elder Empey. It was so cool to see how much we have both grown since we were comps like a year and a half ago.

Our friend Ezekiel was baptized on Saturday. There was such a sweet spirit at the baptism and he is just so happy to be a member of the church. His soon-to-be wife who lives in Paraguay is also meeting with the missionaries now and they are so excited to eventually be sealed in the temple. I am so grateful to have been placed in his path.

We had MLC yesterday and it was so good. A long time ago, while talking about the building of a temple, Brigham Young said that whenever a temple starts construction, the bells of hell start ringing. But then he said, "I want to hear them ring again." Right now in our mission boundaries, the Lone Mountain, Nevada temple is being constructed. Right as it was announced there was so much opposition to it. It took a while, but construction finally began last September. But since then, as a mission, we have struggled to find as many people and help them to progress towards baptism. It has been clear to see that the devil has been working so hard because the temple is being constructed. So yesterday we talked about how we can rise to a new sense of commitment to assist Heavenly Father in His great work. As members of His church we need to consecrate ourselves even more. So as an MLC we decided that each companionship will now operate on 1 phone instead of 2. I'm super excited to see the blessings that come from fully giving everything to Jesus Christ. When we have the power of Jesus Christ, the devil can't do anything to us. No unhollowed hand can stop the work from progressing 😆

Have an amazing Easter Week! Remember He is Risen!!!!
