#82/83 Lost in the Airport

 We also had transfers this past week. Elder Gurr is no longer my companion 🥲 We've basically been companions since August. But the missionary who replaced him is Elser Pulsipher so that's going to be pretty awesome. We went to the airport multiple times to pick up the new missionaries. We had one flying in from out of the country. We got there about half and hour after his flight landed because we knew that he would probably have to go through customs. We were waiting for about 45 minutes and he still hadn't come out. So we started walking around the airport thinking that we had to have missed him. But he was no where to be found. So we went back to where he should be and we called the mission office. One of the senior missionaries called Salt Lake who then got back to us saying it could be another 3 hours before he got out of customs 😬 It ended up not taking that long, but it was actually super terrifying because we thought we lost a missionary who had never step foot in America before. But the Lord provided 🙏


At church on Sunday we sang a song that I'm not super familiar with but I really loved. It's hymn 266 "The Time is Far Spent" If you're not familiar with it, you should read the words right now. I really like verse 4
"Be fixed in your purpose, for Satan will try you;

The weight of your calling he perfectly knows.

Your path may be thorny, but Jesus is nigh you;

His arm is sufficient, tho demons oppose.

His arm is sufficient, tho demons oppose."

The devil knows the importance of the work God has called us to do. Whether we're full time missionaries or disciples of Christ, Satan wants to tear us down. But as missionaries, if we stick to our purpose of inviting all to come unto Christ, he will not succeed. And as lifelong disciples, if we stick to our purpose, which is found in our baptismal and temple covenants, Satan's attacks will have no power over us. Stick to Jesus Christ in all that you do. He is there and He loves you ❤️

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #5-Viva Las Vegas

 What's up everyone!? This past week has definitely been crazy! There's been a lot that was good and a lot that was hard, but I guess that's missionary work for you. If you didn't hear last week, my first companion is Elder Judd who I went to high school with. It's been really fun to talk about home with him. He thinks it's really crazy that when he tells his stories I actually know who he's talking about   My first area is in the Meadows stake which is northwest Las Vegas. We cover two wards in that stake. If you guys have never been to Las Vegas and you want to know what it's like, just imagine Idaho, but like 10-15 degrees hotter and where you see grass, instead picture rocks and dirt. Other than that it's not too different from what I know. But the drivers are a lot crazier which has made for some fun car rides. But I guess I have seen a bit of grass because one area is a little more wealthy so they can afford to care for grass. Also most of the ...
