#74 Working that 9-5

This week was so awesome!! I loved it so much!

On New Year's Day I was on exchanges with Elder Petersen. He's such a good missionary and we had so much fun. He was trying to kick a rock between my legs the whole day. We were on a doorstep and he kicked a rock and it nailed my ankle. I swear that was some of the worst pain I’ve ever had 😭 We also found this amazing new friend named Kadir. We set the goal in the morning to knock all the houses with open garages. We hadn't been very good at the goal so halfway through the day we decided to lock in. The first one that we knocked didn't answer, but his neighbor walked outside right as we knocked and he's so prepared. He had been inside and he felt tempted to give in to his addictions but he felt he really needed to go outside and right as he did, we were there. We had another amazing lesson with him and a youth in our ward who is completely blind (shoutout Rocco for being legendary) and then Kadir came to church the next day. So pray for him that he continues to want to progress to Jesus Christ 🙏

The next day we ended up working basically a 9-5 at the mission office. We were only planning on being there for a couple hours, but whenever we're there, things just tend to happen. We did get to have interviews with President and he said somethings that I really need to hear. I love President and Sister Coleman so much

I went on another exchange this week with Elder Tuimaseve. We got some good work done and had some great conversations. We've been doing an apartment fast this week so I bought a purple lunch box so we don't have to go back to the apartment for lunch. I've felt like an elementary school kid again packing up lunch 😇

We have an acronym in our mission called DRIP which stands for daily revelation increases power. I found a scripture that talks about the power of DRIP

Helaman 11:23
23 And in the seventy and ninth year there began to be much strife. But it came to pass that Nephi and Lehi, and many of their brethren who knew concerning the true points of doctrine, having many revelations daily, therefore they did preach unto the people, insomuch that they did put an end to their strife in that same year.

When we seek guidance from the Lord every day we will be able to put an end to all strife in our lives. I have a strong testimony that God wants to speak to us and we just need to put in the effort to seek Him everyday.
