#63/64 President Christofferson!!

What a past couple of weeks!

A couple weeks ago we had transfer planning. So we got to sit in a room all week with President to plan the upcoming transfer. The first couple of days were kinda fun, but by day 3 I was just wanting to get out and work. The most tedious day was when we had to type up all the information to send to the ZLs. We thought it would take until 2PM, but it ended up taking until 5:45 🤦‍♂️ But we got it all done and that's what matters.

The next day was so cool! President D Todd Christofferson came and visited the mission. I'll take more about what I learned later, but it was so awesome to meet a member of the first presidency. It really strengthened my testimony that the Lord calls ordinary men to do His work! The coolest thing was when he walked in the room, we were all signing "A Child's Prayer" and the Spirit was so strong! It was a pretty awesome day.

This past week was absolutely insane. On Monday we had a training meeting for all the new trainers and all the new district leaders. Then last Pday was transfer day. We were running around the entire day fixing a ton of problems with housing and vehicles. We then got to go to the airport and pick up some of the new missionaries 😁 It was so cool to see the excitement that they had for the Lord's work. I also got to meet my grandson! (The missionary that I trained last year is now training).

The next day we went and did the departing activities with all the missionaries going home. We went bowling and then to Top Golf. I would have felt like we were wasting time being there, but we had really only gotten like 45 minutes of pday they day before, so we just counted it as our pday. We had to walk through a casino to get to the bowling alley and we had to drive on the strip to get to Top Golf 😬 It felt so weird being there, but hey we were right by our mission president the whole time. I then got to cook chicken and steak for the departing missionaries. It was one of my first times grilling and I hope it turned out ok 🤞

The next day was also kinda crazy. I don't remember too much of what happened, but it was crazy. On Friday we helped at new missionary orientation. I love new missionaries so much! And honestly, I learned more this past time than I did when I was a new missionary.

Saturday I went on an exchange with Elder Cirio again! It was so fun! He always so positive and because of that we saw so many miracles. God really is in this work.

They rest of the week was mostly normal and this week shouldn't be too crazy either. Unless something comes out of no where which is pretty likely.

The biggest thing that I learned from President Christofferson is that absolutely everything we do needs to be focused on Jesus Christ. He is the one that gives us power to overcome the challenges in our lives. Keeping the commandments and living the Gospel opens the door to His power, but it is only Jesus Christ and His Atonement that can give us a remission of our sins. Focus on Him!!

Have a great week!
