#23 It's Freezing

Yeah it's pretty cold out here. Now a high of 50 might sound pretty nice to most of you right now, but when you're biking around all day with freezing cold wind and not really wearing a lot of winter gear (because you're in Las Vegas, who needs winter gear in Vegas) it gets very very cold. I didn't think this would actually happen, but I'm actually looking forward to the 120 degree days 😅

Besides the cold, this was a pretty solid week. We had way more lessons than we usually do which was awesome! One of them went way off the rails though. We were talking about the resurrection, and then our friend started going off about reincarnation and her husband who can walk through walls 😬 So that was interesting. But then she came to church on Sunday and absolutely loved it! And she said she wants to come back next week 😁

We also went out with a priest this week, but since he isn't 18 we couldn't be in a car alone with him so we had to ride bikes again. He found a bike in his garage and we fixed it up so we could go out. But the bike was way to small for him so the whole time it looked like he had just robbed an 8 year old and stole his bike. It was really fun though and we saw a lot of miracles.

I also got to plan my first district council. I was a little nervous for it. One of our zone leaders came in to watch which made me even more nervous. I thought it went alright but when my zl came up to me afterwards his advice was "you did great, stop worrying about it." So that made me feel better.

One verse that stuck out to me this week was Alma 26:27. "Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success" I love this verse because it is so true. My mission has definitely been difficult. But I've noticed that all through it Christ has always been there for me. When we turn to Him, He doesn't always take our struggle away right away, but He does help us through it. Jesus Christ really is our strength.

Have a great week!
