#19 6 hour personal study!!

 How's it going? Hope y'all had a great week!


On Wednesday we had zone conference! It was super awesome. We talked a lot about teaching by the Spirit. Then President announced that on Monday we would have a 6 hour personal study to learn more about the Atonement of Jesus Christ from the Book of Mormon. So we were all super excited for that! I also got to see my papi Elder Judd again which was super cool.

Friday was our ward Christmas party. We got to help hand out the food and then we got pictures with Santa Claus. Bishop also had an amazing suit that we had to get a picture with.

On Sunday we had a missionary music devotional. It was super powerful. I was singing in the choir which was a party. The Spirit was super strong and I know all the friends that came to the devotional felt the Spirit too.

Then came the 6 hour personal. It was so awesome!! I thought for sure I would come close to falling asleep, but I was totally locked in the whole time. I always knew that the Book of Mormon is true and that it testifies of Jesus Christ but it was just so cool to get that witness again. I was marking everything that pointed to the Atonement of Jesus Christ and there were a couple pages that were completely marked. No one can honestly read the Book of Mormon and say that it doesn't testify of Jesus Christ. My back and neck did kind of hurt the rest of the day though. And even though we didn't have a ton of time to be out working, we were able to see so many miracles that day.

For the study, we were given 20 teachings about the Atonement of Jesus Christ from the Book of Mormon. We were invited to read them and pray and ask God if the Book of Mormon is true. I testify that it is and that anyone who reads the book will also gain that witness. So I'd like to invite you all to read the 20 teachings about The Atonement of Jesus Christ (I'll attach a picture) and then remember how merciful the Lord has been and then to ask God if the words are true. And I promise that you will get an answer. And obviously you don't have to do it all in one sitting, but definitely do it.

#10 Transfers and Dia de la Familia

First I'll start with the transfer news. Both me and Elder Judd were sorta transferred. He is now a zone leader and he has one of our wards (Alexander) and a Spanish ward. I have our other ward (Painted Desert) and then Mountain Crest. My wards are in two different stakes which is weird for my mission. My new companion is Elder Hansen. This transfer should be pretty good. It's also different because it's only 5 weeks because of Thanksgiving so it'll be pretty fast. I'm sad that I'm leaving my papi Elder Judd but Elder Hansen will be a great companion. This past transfer had been hard to find lessons, but this week we had so many miracles. #5-Viva Las Vegas

 What's up everyone!? This past week has definitely been crazy! There's been a lot that was good and a lot that was hard, but I guess that's missionary work for you. If you didn't hear last week, my first companion is Elder Judd who I went to high school with. It's been really fun to talk about home with him. He thinks it's really crazy that when he tells his stories I actually know who he's talking about   My first area is in the Meadows stake which is northwest Las Vegas. We cover two wards in that stake. If you guys have never been to Las Vegas and you want to know what it's like, just imagine Idaho, but like 10-15 degrees hotter and where you see grass, instead picture rocks and dirt. Other than that it's not too different from what I know. But the drivers are a lot crazier which has made for some fun car rides. But I guess I have seen a bit of grass because one area is a little more wealthy so they can afford to care for grass. Also most of the ...
