#14 Sleepover!

How's it going everyone? I hope y'all had a great week!

There's only one thing to say after this week. The Lord is in the Vineyard!! This is His work and He is with us every step of the way. Yes, some days were still hard, but we were able to see so many miracles this week and I know it's all because of our Savior Jesus Christ.

On Wednesday we did zone leader exchanges and I was with Elder Christensen in his area. It was super windy that day and I was kinda missing the triple digit days 😅 But we saw so many miracles that day. We were able to get into contact with people they had been trying to get in contact with for the entire transfer. So that was really cool. I also got to drive for the first time in like 3 months which was a little scary but also not bad. It was nice not having to worry about ringing the lines and sending out texts all day long.

We had interviews with President this week. It was really good. I especially loved my interview with Sister Nielson. We talked about the Book of Mormon and tender mercies that we've seen as we've labored with the Lord.

On Friday night we lost our house key which was not fun. We stayed at the other elders in our complex's place. We got to sleep on the ground and it hurt really bad. I woke up in the middle of the night and I was hoping that it would be 6:30 but it was only 3:30 😭 So I still had 3 more hours of painful sleep. So Saturday was tough because we were very tired but we were still able to see miracles and share God's love with many people.

Sunday was so amazing! Our friend Curt wasn't able to make it to church which was sad but most of our other friends were able to make it. In our first ward Elder Matthew Holland of the 70, son of President Jeffery R Holland, was there on a trip with his wife and they just randomly decided to come to our ward. He gave a short but amazing talk. Afterwards, his wife asked if we wanted a picture with him and we were like "of course!" It was so cool see the son of an apostle and to get advice from him.

We had a lesson with Joan who is getting baptized next Saturday. We went over the baptismal interview questions and she is so ready. We are going to have to tape over the overflow drain do she doesn't have to bend down very much.

We then had a lesson with our friend Noah. He always has so many questions which is great and we've been inviting him to read the Book of Mormon. A couple lessons ago we asked if he had any questions and he said that reading the Book of Mormon has answered his questions. And then on Sunday we were able to put him on date for baptism!!!!! He is so amazing and it's been so cool to see the power of God and the Book of Mormon working in his life!

One verse I've really liked recently is 3 Nephi 10:10. "And the earth did cleave together again, that it stood; and the mourning, and the weeping, and the wailing of the people who were spared alive did cease; and their mourning was turned into joy, and their lamentations into the praise and thanksgiving unto the Lord Jesus Christ, their Redeemer." I love this verse so much. These people had just experienced something devastating. Their cities were destroyed and their friends were killed. But just hearing the voice of the Savior turned all of their sorrows into joy. Life is difficult. We go through a lot of hard challenges. But I've noticed that when I look forward with hope to Jesus Christ, everything is better. He has turned my challenges and sadness into joy. I promise that if you look to Christ during all of your hard times, you will be able to feel joy, no matter the situation. Joy is possible because of Jesus Christ

Have a great week!
