#11 Nutmegged!

 How's it going?

I'll get right into the highlights from this past week.

I found out that my good friend Elder Forsberg's family is in my new stake (not in my ward). So at church this past week I was able to see his missionary plaque. It's pretty cool that there's some familiar faces in this stake.

So far we've had a pretty good start to the transfer. Me and Elder Hansen play this game when we're walking up to doors where we try to meg each other with rocks. That just means that we try to kick rocks in between each other's legs while they're walking. We've gotten some pretty crazy ones that I think deserve to be on the sports center top 10 plays of the night.

We met with this one lady in our new ward who is on date for baptism in November. She is so sweet. She can't hear very well so we're basically yelling the entire time. But we were able to teach her the plan of Salvation and talk about how the purpose of this life is to have joy. And the way we find joy in this life us through our Savior Jesus Christ. When we follow Him we are able to feel joy no matter what is going on in our lives. We're so excited to keep meeting with her and I know she'll be ready to enter the waters of baptism and make her first covenant with God.

For some reason this past week decided to get kind of cold. Last Friday I had to wear a sweater. It was like 67 degrees but the wind made it really bad. I'm not looking forward to the winter. Because if 60 degrees seemed cold to me I don't know how I'm going to survive the windy 30 degree days. I guess I'm already used to the Vegas heat.

I also went on exchanges with the ZLs. It was so much fun to be able to learn from him and just have a blast along the way. He's going home next transfer so he had a lot of mission wisdom.

My spiritual thought today comes from Alma chapter 34 (great chapter you should all read soon). In this chapter Amulek is teaching about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. In verse 10 he says "For it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice; yea, not a sacrifice of man, neither of beast, neither of any manner of fowl; for it shall not be a human sacrifice; but it must be an infinite and eternal sacrifice." The Atonement of Jesus Christ is infinite. That means He has already paid for ALL our mistakes. He didn't just pay for some of your sins. He paid in full for all of them. All we need to do now is turn to Him and use the gift He has already given us. I challenge each of you to turn to the Savior and learn how you can rely more on Him and His Atonement. I promise that you will find the power to overcome every challenge in your life. I am so grateful for my Savior and I know He lives!

Have a great week!
