#44 God is Good

God is good! This was such a good week!

Our friend Linda was baptized on Saturday! It was so awesome. She's been coming to church for 25 years and she finally decided it was time to become a member of Christ's church. There were so many people at the baptism. Linda is a pretty goofy person. When she got in the water she said, "I'm catholic now but not for long!" She bore her testimony in church the next day and it was so spiritual. She's one of my favorite people I've worked with in my mission.

We had a dinner with a member who decided it wasn't fair that we always come in and mooch off members' food. So he decided he'd teach us how to make a pristine steak. It was actually one of the funnest members meals I've ever had. We stayed too late though. Oops 😬

On Saturday we got a media referral. We reached out and invited her to church. The next daybshe filled out another media referral but this one was about baptism. So the Lord prompted us to invite her to be baptized over text. And she accepted 🥳🥳 We had a lesson yesterday about the restoration. It was one of the most spiritual lessons I've ever had! She recognized by herself that she was feeling the spirit when we talked about prophets and Joseph Smith. It was so awesome 😁

Sunday night we had a music devotional put on by our mission. There were so many people there and again, the spirit was so strong. It was a literal downpour of the Spirit 🌧  I sang in the mission choir and I think it sounded pretty good 😅

Because this was a short transfer, we get transfer news this Sunday. I really hope that I stay one more with Elder Rogers here in Spanish Hills 🤞 But obviously, whatever the Lord wants is right.

"37 Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen."

God is aware of you! He loves you so much! Keep trusting in Him and in His timing! A life focused on Christ is the most joyful life possible!

Have a good one!
